As part of the general refurbishment works, the property is also being extended to the side and to the rear to accommodate clients’ current and future needs and to adapt the property to cater to current life-styles.
Despite reasonably sized curtilage of the property, the limiting width of the site leaves a fairly narrow space on the side of the house, hence, extending the full width of the site was necessary to deliver a viable solution. This presented a minor obstacle with securing the planning permission due to council’s current planning guidance, however, with the cooperation with the LPA, the planning approval was received during the lockdown and the clients are very happy to progress with the works.
